The problem we solve

Inherited systems keep things moving. They do not keep them healthy.

Most small organizations run on processes nobody designed. A former office manager built the filing system. The bookkeeping lives in three places. One person knows how invoicing really works, and that person is on vacation. Everything functions, more or less, until you try to grow, apply for working capital, bring on a new CPA or hand the work to someone new.

What we usually find
Unclear ownership. Tasks that belong to everyone and therefore to no one, and decisions that stall while people wait to see who will make them.
What we usually find
Key-person dependency. Work that only one person can do, with no written process behind it, which turns every absence into a small emergency.
What we usually find
Information gaps. Records that start, stop and restart across systems, so nobody can answer a simple question without a scavenger hunt.
What we usually find
Recurring delays. The same handoff breaking the same way every month, treated as a personality problem when it is a process problem.
What we usually find
Fragile processes. Workflows that work only because someone quietly compensates for them, and that fail the moment volume goes up.
What we usually find
Emerging risk. The compliance, cash-flow or reporting exposure that nobody has had time to look at squarely.

The approach

Intelligence tradecraft, applied to everyday operations

Our founder spent close to a decade being trained to observe and report: to read critically, validate sources, build and test hypotheses and write assessments a decision-maker can act on. SOLVR applies that same discipline, the Intelligence Cycle, to a small organization’s processes, risks and decisions.

It examines assumptions, dependencies, weak signals and risk, not just whether a process could be faster. And the thinking stays human. Software may help organize records or draw a process map; the questions, the judgment and the recommendations are ours.

  • Starts from a defined concern or decision
  • Uses your records, your people and your workflows
  • Separates what the evidence supports from what feels true
  • Ends with priorities, not a 90-page report

How an engagement runs

From first inquiry to signed scope

  1. Inquiry

Send a few lines about what is happening. You do not need to have diagnosed it; that is the point.

  2. Discovery call

We clarify the concern, the outcome you want and the scope, and we say honestly whether we are the right fit.

  3. Statement of Work

Deliverables, milestones, timeline, responsibilities and a fixed fee, in writing, before anything starts.

  4. The work

Guided intake, discovery conversations, evidence review and structured analysis, ending in prioritized findings and recommended actions.

I am not here to sell you the highest tier of services when those services would not be relevant. I am here to get to the root cause of things.

Baltimore-based, virtual, practical

Small enough that everyone knows everyone. Big enough to need a system.

That is the organization we work with: the business where the founder still signs every check and also happens to be the operations department, the nonprofit where the executive director runs programs, fundraising and payroll from the same chair. A full-time operations hire is not in the budget yet. The problems one would solve are already here.

We are based in Baltimore and work virtually with organizations anywhere in the country. Around the Baltimore region, we also meet in person when a conversation goes better face to face.

The Intelligence Requirement

Trust, but verify the workflow.

Our founder writes The Intelligence Requirement, a people, processes and decision-making brief for small-business leaders: where intelligence tradecraft meets everyday operational challenges. Practical analysis, thoughtful questions, and ideas that challenge the obvious answer.

Questions

Before you reach out

What is SOLVR?

SOLVR stands for Structured Operational Logic and Vulnerability Review. It is a human-led operational diagnostic that helps leaders identify workflow failures, unclear ownership, information gaps, fragile processes and emerging risks, then turns those findings into visible priorities and practical next steps.

Is the analysis generated by AI?

No. SOLVR is human-led. Technology may help organize information, map a process or build a deliverable, but the questioning, evidence assessment, analysis, prioritization and recommendations are done by Solomon's Corporate Solutions.

Who is this for?

Small businesses, nonprofits, faith-based organizations, founders, executive directors and operations leaders who need a clearer view of how their organization is actually functioning, especially during growth, a transition, a process cleanup or a stretch of recurring operational strain.

What happens after I send an inquiry?

We schedule a discovery call to clarify the concern, the outcome you want and the scope. If SOLVR or another service is a fit, a Statement of Work sets out the deliverables, milestones, timeline, responsibilities, fee and payment schedule. Work begins once that is signed and any required deposit is in.

How is pricing set?

Each SOLVR service has a starting price. During discovery we assess the scope and complexity of the work, then quote a fixed fee in the Statement of Work before the engagement begins. Complexity factors include the number of business lines, stakeholders, systems, data sources and requested deliverables, plus implementation needs and turnaround time.

Can you help implement the recommendations?

Yes, when appropriate. SOLVR is diagnostic first. Implementation support such as process mapping, SOP development, workflow cleanup, dashboards or ongoing operational support can be offered through a separately scoped engagement.

Start with the problem, not the solution

Tell us what is breaking down, what is unclear or what simply feels off. We will follow up to set up a discovery call and talk through whether a SOLVR review, fractional support or a few hours of targeted help is the right next step.
